Strongheart watched her go, happy that he wasn't going to have to deal with her again and he wasn't all that worried about her threat about if she coundn't have him.

~two months later~
An old woman slipped into Strongheart's bedchamber and stood beside the head of his bed. She glanced down at the slumbering figure and gave a silent chuckle. She wordlessly scooped him up and vanished in the night, carrying him to her lair.
She lay him down on a mat and began to cast her dark spell - even if she didn't have the strength to fully change him.

Tossing and turning Strongheart just couldn't get comfortable which was saying something as he was always comfortable. Slowly returning to consciousness, Strongheart opened his eyes to see some old woman standing over him. Bolting up right, Strongheart turned and faced the old woman. "What the hell is going on?" he demanded, the realization that he wasn't even in his room was hitting him.

"Didn't she tell you?" the old witch said with a laugh. "If she couldn't have you, then no-one can." She continued to weave her magic, watching him to see how he responded.

Strongheart backed away from the crazy old woman what was she babbling about? if she couldn't have me then no one could? His thoughts qiuckly changed to why was his sight going funny? Rasing his hand to his face he found that they were no longer his hands along. Staring in horror from his hands to the crazy old woman before him, Strongheart didn't know what to do.

The witch continued her spell - waiting to see if he realized what had happened to him. He was starting to - but not fully.

An array of new smells assulted his nose and Strongheart quit staring at his fur covered hands to run them over his face, what was happening to his nose. Looking for a mirror, he spotted one; going over to it he could only stare in horror at what he was becoming. "Why are you doing this to me?"

"Ravenwaves pays well," the witch said with a crooked shrug. "If she couldn't have you, well, then, no-one can have you."

"It was either that or a mouse and mice get lost too easily. You can't lose a dog that easily," the witch said with a laugh.

Strongheart let out an enraged cry before attacking the witch, he wasn't going to let this happen without some resistance now that he knew what was going on.

The witch swore when he knocked her off her feet and she lost her concentration for a split second, causing the spell to have it's flaw - that he'd be human at the birth of a full moon until the moon slid behind the clouds.

: After knocking the witch over Strongheart didn't waste much time trying to escape where ever the witch had him, the only problem was this dog body was harder to navigate then he thought it was.

The witch watched the dog leave the castle. Her work was done. Now, what was she doing, oh yes... She settled down with a book - never knowing that Shining Glory would intervene.

: Eventually Strongheart was able to make it to Shining Glory's manor, he could only hope that Shining Glory would realize what the dog really was and perhaps even find a cure. Reaching the door, the dog started to scratch at the door trying to get someones attention.
