Mali finally decided to announce her presence, not because she wanted to do any favors for the boys. "Uncle Roland, I have your mouse here. The poor things terrified."

"Thank you, Sir," Celise said, quickly scampering off to go see the other spots of the castle.
Jules sulked. "How'd I guess you'd get protective of my sister, Roland?"

Roland ignored Jules for the moment. "Ah Amalia, Mali." He corrected with a chuckle from her glare at him. "Good on ya to find it before them other ladies started faint'n from the thought of a mouse." Roland commented to his niece before turning his attention to Jules "And as for protectin your sister, boy. If you ain't then one of us has to."

"Just like the mouse shouldn't have been here?" Mali disdainfully inquired to the boys, sure they were older but seriously she just didn't see why her classmates made such a big deal about them.

"That's supposed to mean something? She was probably just embarrassed that you made her come here." Strongheart brushed it off.
"Boy are ya settin 'im up?" Roland just grinned at the pair.
Strongheart made a face at Roland, "Roland that's not even funny. She's a girl."
Roland grabbed his nieces shoulder before she could do something drastic, perhaps his brother had let Mali grow up just a little to independent.

When her uncle stopped her from stepping forward to show the Prince that girls were not infurior to boys, Mali crossed her arms and glared at the prince.
