"That one's in a class all of her own but she does remind me of the fuzzy thing, Hairball?" Mali said trying to remember the name of that thing.

Jules chuckled. "Yes, she does remind me of that thing as well." He glanced over at Mali. "What do you think will happen to that mouse?"

"It's probably keeled over by now. Today has been a rather trying for it." Mali said in truth she kinda hoped that it wasn't still being tormented by the Duchess. "Where'd you find that thing anyways?" Mali asked Jules as she looked over at Celise, "Are you okay?"

"Bess was trying to swat it and she kept missing. Celise, the sweetnatured girl that she is, rescued it but made the error of handing said mouse over to me," Jules said with a merry laugh.
Celise just clung close to her brother. "Why'd she hit me?" she asked softly, sounding more then a bit confused.

"I don't know why she hit you but perhaps it's because your everything she could never be and she knows it?" Mali suggested, to her Celise and the Dushess were so at odds that she couldn't think of anything else.

"Maybe," Celise said softly, holding Kitty a little tighter.

To that Mali really didn't know what to say so instead she glanced to Jules and wondered if he might be able to help with his sister, although Celise's tears were almost gone.

Well there went any chance of getting an apology out of the Duchess Strongheart thought as he tried not to laugh or give any sign of amusement at the mouse. "Yes I think it best if you depart for right now." Strongheart said his eyes sparkling with mirth before he turned back to Ravenwaves. "You have such interesting taste in friends," Ravenwaves said, wrinkling her nose after fishing the mouse out and holding it with her fingers. "Tell me, how did you become friends with those peasents?"

"They aren't peasents, but Jules and I became friends during training." Strongheart commented, holding out a hand to take the mouse from Ravenwaves. Strongheart was praying once again that this ended quickly, very quickly.

Ravenwaves said nothing but handed the mouse over to Strongheart. "She did seem rather tiny - hardly anything to write home about. Probably won't even survive the winter."

"What she? The mouse is a boy." Stongheart said as he put the mouse down out of harms way, it survived the Duchess and that alone ment he would leave it alone at least for today.

"I meant that peasant female, what was her name? Celise?" Ravenwaves said with a delicate snort.

"Jules's sister? Yeah her name is Celise but she's not a peasant, what's with your fascination with the peasants anyways?" Strongheart asked, he saw nothing wrong with Jules or Celise.

"Only that they are beneath us and not of the same, ah, what's the word I want, station as us."

"How are they beneath us? It's because of them that we are who we are." and in truth he would rather spend the day with the 'peasants' then a day with Ravenwaves.
