"A little."

"Any suggestions on what you'd like to try eating?" Mali asked, figuring she'd have better luck getting Celise to eat if it was something she wanted.

"Something soft."

"Want to try some eggs then?"

"That sounds good," she said quietly.

"Eat up here or venture down into the kitchen?"

"If you don't mind, up here. I don't think I have the strength to go downstairs."

"Not in the least, I'll be back in a few then." Mali said before disappearing down stairs to fill the request. It wasn't long before she'd once again appeared in the door way. "Let's try some toast as well." Mali said as she set a tray in front of Celise.

The only outward sign she was surprised by the news was Mali's eyes widened in shock. "Not to be depressing but are you sure it was him?" Mali softly asked, wanting Celise to have her hopes up but also realistic enough that it might not have been him or anyone for that matter.

"I know my husband's voice, Mali, and I heard him last night, whispering in my ear. I could feel his touch, the soft growl his voice has. It felt too real to be a dream."

Mali gave a soft nod, "Then want to tell me about it? In detail?"

"I could feel someone in the room with me, watching over me, almost as if they were protecting me. I must have started coughing and seemed to be in distress because I could feel his gentle touch rubbing my back, coaxing my breathing to return to normal and the words be strong my love whispered in my ear. I felt his lips brush against my temple. It felt too real to be a dream," she whispered.
