Prince tugged on the chain trying to tell them that he thought they were taking to much time.

"What till you see home sweet home." Mali wasn't particularly fond of visiting Ravenwaves castle but was going to see this through.

: "Ahh, but if only we knew where it was during the war..."

Jules was brining up the war? For the most part it seemed like it was a taboo subject. Not that Mali minded, the less people talked about the war, the less her mother could bring up her perfect son and how Mali could never reach her mother's expectations. "Agreed, I stumbled across it a couple of months ago." She didn't need to mention how she came across it.

: "Just think of how many lives we could have saved if we had known about it before," he said quietly.

"I know, Papa was one of the people hunting for the castle before the war. Then the war happened and he turned his attention from trying to spy on her to fighting her. It was a game when I was a child, spending the afternoons wondering the forest with papa looking for a lost castle, then he made me promise not to go looking for it anymore." Mali quietly said, it was hard to talk about her father, he was the only one in her family she was really close with. "It's kinda ironic really, I promised him I wouldn't look for it anymore and then I stumble across it by accident."

: Jules slid his hand into hers and squeezed it. "It'll be okay, Mali."

"I know it will, it's just getting there." Mali responded with a watery smile, with her free hand she whiped at her eyes. "Sorry, I know this isn't a time for feminine waterworks." she laughed a little.

"I haven't been through anymore then half the people in our village and mother likes to tell me that tears are for the weak at heart but thank you." It was nice to hear she wasn't weak because she missed her father, she loved her mother but was beginning to realize that no matter what she did she was never going to live up to what her mother wanted from her.

: "Now the only question is," he said, changing topic as he heard the "snarlie" growl at them again. "Do we know where the medallion is in the snarlie pen?"

Grateful for the change of topic, Mali thought back. "It's in the garden, the part where the snarlies play. I don't think it should be to hard to find, I don't think Ravenwaves knows that anyone knows where her castle is. Bury it there and have the guards without the guards know what they are guarding." Now all Mali could do was hope that Ravenwaves thought along those lines.

: "Sounds about right." He glanced over at "snarlie". He shuddered a bit. "How much longer do you think he has before we lose him?"

"Your guess is a good as mine is but if I had to take a stab in the dark... Ravenwaves is going to want him to become a Snarlie for good and then he would never be an obstacle for her again. So I'm thinking as soon as possible but Strongheart isn't doing this just for him. His determination to return to his human self so he can wake Celise is also having an impact on this. How much I don't know but I think Strongheart will hold out until he frees Celise, but what characteristics of the snarlies he's going to get I haven't a clue and couldn't even begin to guess. However if we don't get that medallion today I don't think it will be very long before Ravenwaves spell really takes ahold."
