OOC: set before Cursing a Prince
Celise sat at her vanity, pinning a red rose in her hair before rising slowly and heading down the stairs to listen in on the conversation that her brother was carrying on with Strongheart. Her cheeks tinted a vibrant hue at the thought of Strongheart - now safely out of his gangly youth phase.
She hesitated on the stairs when she heard her name mentioned and actually thought twice about approaching. But, as the eldest daughter, and with her mother off on a trip with their father, it was her duty to play hostess.
She silently padded into the room, her dark hair pinned up in a loose bun, and the dark blue fabric of her dress swishing as she moved.
"Brother, M'lord," she said, her voice a soft whisper, and dipped down into a curtsy.

"Celise," Strongheart greeted his best friend's sister. "Haven't I asked you to call me Strongheart like everyone else?"

Celise blushed shyly as she looked at him. "That may be the case, but you are a guest and I should be respectful by addressing you by title," she said quietly, her eyes twinkling merrily.
Jules glanced over at Strongheart. "Hard to believe that's the girl you thought annoying years ago," he said in a quiet whisper in Strongheart's ear.

"Would you quit trying to set me up, you don't even have the guts to ask Mali out." Strongheart taunted back under his breath; before talking back to Celise "I'm your brother's best friend, I think I'm out of the guest catergory." Strongheart commented, "Besides even when I was considered a guest, no one ever called me that unless it was in a formal setting. And this isn't formal is it?"

Jules looked mock offended. "Who said anything about setting you up? I'm just pointing out the obvious. You haven't stopped staring at her since she came down the stairs. Blink, damn you," he hissed in Strongheart's ear.
Celise opened her mouth to say something but at his point, she closed it, blushing demurely. "I suppose you're right, m'lo... Strongheart," she corrected herself.

"Thank you," he directed at Celise, completely ignoring Jules's comment.

"Would you like some tea? I can get a pot started if you wish..."

Strongheart glanced at Jules, Strongheart didn't care, if she wanted to fine with him if not he did know where the kitchen was.

Jules nodded. "Strongheart and I have things to discuss that a proper lady shouldn't hear," he hinted at.
Celise arched an eyebrow but acquiesed and went off to make the tea.

"Subtle." Strongheart commented.

"I didn't think she needed to hear about what we have planned in regards to war games," Jules said quietly. "Although, waging war against Ravenwaves isn't a game. I can't believe she's pulling these stunts to have you marry her."

"If you don't want her hearing about it, why'd we come here again?" Strongheart inquired, "Ravenwaves is crazy, that has to be the only explanation as to why she thinks this is going to work."

"We came here because the furniture is much more comfortable," Jules said with a light laugh. "Besides, would do you good to get you out of the suffocating castle."

"True on both accounts," Strongheart agreed as he leaned back into a chair, "Much, much more comfortable."

Celise came back and set the tea service down on the table. "Cream and sugar?" she asked Strongheart first as he was the guest.
