Why would he turn on Mali? Mali was helping him. What were they talking about, he was still him even if he was trapped in the body of the snarlie.

She was very very tempted to say something snarky but that would only was more time. "As soon as you tell me where we can find something to use for the leash." Mali said focusing on the present problem, she didn't know her way around the castle to be able to find something like that.

: "Come now, Mali," he said, looking at her. "Did you forget that I was a knight? I keep myself prepared." He turned the chair so she could see the pack hanging on it. "I believe I have a decent leash in there."

"I didn't forget that your a knight. Grab your leash and tie up Prince. Then we can go." Mali said, deciding to let him put the leash on Prince then, when Prince was human again Mali wasn't the one to have tied him up.

Once Jules had tied Prince up they started on her way, she still didn't see how keeping the snarlie on the leash would stop it from attacking if Prince turned. The snarlie could attack who ever held the leash. "Which way do you want to go?"

: "I suggest we retrace your steps and then his," Jules said. "That way, we'd be able to get the medallion and all will be over sooner then we think."

"We can go that way but I don't know how far you'll be able to go into the Tangle Forest in that area. There is a fair amount of underbrush. And no I'm not trying to get you to turn back now, I just want you to know what your facing." Mali said, guess that he wouldn't like what she just told him.

It was probably a good thing it was the middle of the night because she could only imagine the fuss if her mother's gossip hens saw her walking with Jules and a snarlie. Mali didn't say anything more on the matter of the forest, she understood his need to do something for his sister. Having to sit back and let other's do it what you couldn't had to be hard. "And I know you'll find a way, your too stubborn not to." the only problem was how long would it take for him to find a way.

: He gave her a wry grin and chuckled. "So, what's the latest gossip concerning my family?" he asked, knowing that Mali's mother was the chief gossip in the village.

"Just because I'm with in hearing distance doesn't mean that I listen to most of what she's talking about and even then I'm not one to repeat it. Although I do have a question for you. Why is your cat suddenly terrified of feathers? It's only been in the last couple of weeks that I've noticed it." Mali asked, she didn't indulge in gossip found it useless and utterly annoying, but if Jules asked again she could repeat the little bits she was actually listening to her mother.

: To that, he awarded Mali with a two word answer that would explain everything. "The twins."

"The twins?" Mali giggled, "What'd they do tar and feather her?" she asked in jest, not having a clue what those little minds had thought of now.
